Helle Skog is a modern take on a classic carving knife and a step-in knife to start enjoy the relaxation when creating something from a piece of wood.
Wood carving has become more and more popular in an increasingly frantic lifestyle. The Helle Skog (Norwegian for 'forest') is a perfect knife to get started with crafting in wood. A place of calm and a place where time slows down. As the name suggests, it is also a knife designed to be used in the forest as a companion for many tasks.
The Skog is slightly more robust than a specialized carving knife, offering a wider range of uses. Its hand sanded and contour shaped handle offers a comfortable grip for long sessions without giving hotspots. Smooth contours offer a nice grip and guides your hand to a safe position, even when holding close to the blade.
The knife has a popping sharp triple laminated stainless steel blade and comes with a leather sheath.

My son and daughter in law loved Thor knives!!!
Well crafted. Very very nice.
1. Leather sheath is perfect. Hugs the knife tightly and is stitched nicely.
2. Handle feels goodm strong grip. Fits a small - medium size hand well. Small imperfections in the handle. Very very small gaps where the knife meets the wood also towards the butt where the knife is exiting. These are small. Remember It's hand crafted and it's not something that should be a deal breaker.
3. Out of the box I was able to shave with this knife. The point is sharp but not too sharp where it's brittle. Perfection.

Veldig bra kniv som jeg har lyst til å bruke. Synd at de har gjort en kniv som er nett og kompakt unødvendig tung og klumpete med slira på. Mister hele poenget med en lett og liten kniv. Denne er mindre enn Arv, men ender opp med å bli tyngre og lengre pga. slira. Slira til Skog er over 50% tyngre enn slira til Arv. Kommer ikke til å ta med denne på tur.
Slira er overdimensjonert. Kniven er håpløs til å skjære grønnsaker med, fordi slipet starter veldig nært eggen og vinkelen på slipet blir stort.
